We are gathered here today in the memory of our loved one, Pedro Manuel Arias also known as Monolo; a father, son, grandson, sibling, cousin, uncle, and friend to so many. Today we want to celebrate, honor, and respect Pedro’s memory, and remember a good man who enriched our lives in so many ways.
Pedro was just 46 years old when he passed away on Monday April 6th at his home in Providence. He was born December 25th, 1973 in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic to Leonora Almonte and the late Pedro F. Arias. Pedro lived in Providence for 30 years and leaves behind three children; Angel 23, Jasmine 21, and Ethan 11; four siblings, Alexandra Arias, Marcus Arias, Malvin Arias, Melvin Arias.
Pedro Arias, the one who lived life by his rules. Someone who could be both funny/easy going, or set you straight; take your pick! A guy who could either be listening to Stevie B or Wu Tang Clan. A guy who loved cooking, astronomy, science, technology, photography & history. Pedro enjoyed watching sports, especially cheering Corona's and rooting for the Patriots during the Super bowl. Pedro was a social butterfly and had so many friends, throughout Rhode Island and even throughout the world. One of Pedro's favorite hobbies was talking on his HAM radio, where he talked to people from all over the globe. But Pedro's biggest passion and drive in life, was undoubtedly his family.
Although his passing brings us explainable grief and we will miss him immensely, we want everyone to instead focus on the happy, crazy, funny memories you shared with Pedro.
